Findings from research paper
I thought I knew my topic relatively well, but that turned out not to be the case. For starters, I did not think the childhood of Osama Bin Laden would play an important role in his life. That he was just born a terrorist and hating America. But as I found this was not the case. When Osama was a young boy he enrolled in a prestigious university of its time. He later took classes unknowingly that taught him the ways of the violent jihad. That is where he developed his hate for America and the rest of the world. Another thing I discovered in my research was that Bin Laden wasn't really in charge of 9/11. Sure, he came up with the idea, but he had a second hand man do most, if not all the work for him. Khalid Mohammed was in charge of everything from teaching the suicide bombers how to fly planes, to sneaking weapons onto the planes for them to hijack.
Romantic Poem Reflection
One of my favorite Romantic Poems was The Fall House of Usher, by Edgar Allen Poe. I enjoyed this story particularly because one, I understood it. Also, I liked how Poe used the setting to set the stage for the dark, twisted story. The title is absolutly genious too. The Fall of the House Of Usher, and that is exactly what the house did, fall at the end of the story. I really liked that. It was also a shorter story of Poe, and to the point. He didn't beat around the bush to tell us what happened. And once the sister died, the following events happened so quickly it kept me on the edge of my seat till the very end when the house fell.

Pit and the Pendulum Ending
As the doors began to close in on my I had lost all hope. I could see the wall singing a bright, burning red, pushing me closer and closer to the pit. I heard a loud scuffle outside the walls. For a moment they even stopped, but then soon after continued to close in on me. Almost faster than they had the first time. By now I was at the edge of the pit, and forced to start climbing down it. It was at that moment that a light came on, high above me and the walls, from what seemed to be an observation tower above. Blood soon covered the window and I saw the bruised face of General Lasalle. He screamed something to me, I could not hear it though the thick windows. At this moment the walls were still closing in on me and a foot from my face. I was forced to drop my head and hands below the lip of the pit, and hold my self there from the adjacent rocks.
But, it was to late. I began to fall, hitting my body along the sides of the pit and amassing numerous cuts and bruises. The pain was unbearable and I never knew if the pit was going to end. I finally landed on a ledge and just layed there, bleeding profusely. Without even knowing it, I rolled off the ledge and continued falling. I soon smashed my head against a rock and blacked out. And when I awoke, the strangest things happened.
I couldn't tell if it was reality or not, but i was suddenly in a great, white room. With bright lights that I took awhile to adjust to. Next to me with a giant knife was General Lasalle.
"Be quiet now, this might hurt," he said with a coy, deadly smile.
Fear soon entered me as my mind began to race about how to escape the room. All entry ways were blocked by the General, so the only way I had to escape was through Lasalle himself. As I made a lunge for the hand with the knife it found its way into my side. I stumbled across the room to the door and crashed out of it with Lasalle on my trail. He jumped on my back and stabbed me repeatedly in my back and whispered in my ear, "That's for sleeping with my wife!!!!"

Crucible Reflection
The Crucible, I thought, was a very good story with a good meaning given by Arthur Miller. He used his hidden words as a basis for a story, but also as an emphasis to his peers that had turned him into the communist hunters. I really enjoyed the way he used the characters and made them relatable to eachother. How each one was influenced by the other. And he took these characters, and related them to people that he knew in real life. Instead of complaining about his situation, Miller did something about it. And created a parrallel world almost in Salem, and created the story of the witch hunts in his own way.

Reflection on HUAC
http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/USAhuac.htm
Basically this organization was created to bring America back to normality. People were freaking out that communists were leaking into America, and were going to take over the country. What started as interrogating political parties, soon escaladed into into anyone who was said to be a communist. This ranged from Hollywood, to normal households and business'. No one was excused from the investigation of the HUAC.
This is wrong much like how things happened in the Crucible. It was so twisted, you either confess to be left alone, or put the blame on someone else and be set free. Even if you were a communist, it was ignored if you gave up more peoples names for the government and you were set free. After a while, you could just say whom ever you wanted to and HUAC would believe you. This was wrong because many innocent people were convicted of being communists and were put on the black list which ended up ruining their lives over a stupid little rumor.

My fire and brimstone sermon
How dare you, call yourself Christians when you know of how sinful you are. The fiery gates of hell will open you with open arms if you don't look to change your ways. The God of all the universe will forgive you but you first must admitt to your sins, repent and never attempt them again! Only then can you hope to be saved from the dark pits of Satans realm. For if not, your sin will consume you to places you cannot even imagin exist. Follow me brothers, repent, tell the Lord your God how sorry you are and beg him for forgiveness of your horrible, wretched deeds. Live with me in paradise.
Squanto!!!
Squanto was a vital part in helping the colony of Plymouth survive. After settling with the colony, Squanto showed the Pilgrims how to plant varies crops such as corn, how to catch fish, and hunting in the forest for food. This was done after the colonists had survived a tough winter in the cold. Squanto also served as translator between his tribe, the Patuxet tribe, and the pilgrims. Without Squanto the colonists would have had a very difficult time surving in the New World.

New World Blog

This picture depicts the actions of Pocahontas as she saved John Smith. Smith, who was the author of the General History of Virginia, was the only source to what happened in Jamestown. At this moment, when he was captured by Powhatan's men, he was to be put to death but Pocahontas saved his life. This is historically correct because Smith mentioned it in his story. Also, its important, because if it weren't for Pocahontas' actions, the true story of the settlement of Jamestown would be lost forever.

Coyote and Buffalo
One of the stories I found very interesting was the story of the Coyote and Buffalo. It shows how Native Americans came up with stories to explain things they did not understand. For instance, how there are no buffalo over the mountain. They created the story of Coyote and Buffalo to explain why this was so. After Coyote helped Buffalo Bill defeat his enemy, Coyote was given a calf with endless meat. However, Coyote became greedy and tried to eat the whole cow. With his cow devoured by crows, Coyote returned to Buffalo Bill. Buffalo Bill was dissapointed in the fact that Coyote did not follow directions. So he did not give him another one, as Coyote was made to return to his country, over the mountain, without a cow. And this is why the Natives believed there are no buffalo over the mountain.
